At First Texas, when we started we had a lot of manual processes and through those processes it allowed us to succeed but as we got bigger and bigger and we started adding dealers throughout North Texas we had to find something that would help us handle the growth because of the manual processes were just getting archaic. And when I started working with defi and found out you could take exactly what I’d been doing, implement it into your system, and then integrate everything that we do together including our software system, our credit scoring system, make it all happen … we were very excited.
We launched in March, we found out 45 days later how much easier this is. The comments we’ve gotten back from our dealers is we’re faster, we’re easier, we’re now on Route, Dealertrack, our call back times have been cut in half and then our business has dramatically increased because we’re easier to do business with in the eyes of our customers, our dealers.
As we move forward I see defi taking us to the next level as we grow because our plans are to leave and branch out outside of the State of Texas. And with their technology and support team, I know that defi can back us, help us, support us as we grow.
I built an Excel spreadsheet that was very complicated, in depth, and you were able to take that information and what was nice is you were able to put in additional controls that I could not develop, such as only allowing a certain dollar amount on a certain credit risk customer.
I can tell you right now my employees love it. It’s made their job easier. They actually can take their time now and really analyze a deal, make better decisions.
