WE ARE A TEAM
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Embrace that it takes all of us to be great. No role is more important than another, just different. Hire “A” players and reap the rewards of a village.
STEP OUTSIDE YOURSELF
You can only change yourself. How do others perceive you? Step outside yourself and look at things. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
ASSUME POSITIVE INTENTIONS
We are all on the same team. Always start by assuming the other person’s intentions were good, even if the impact was not.
WE ALL HAVE A VOICE BUT WE CAN’T WIN THEM ALL
Use your voice, speak up, be heard – the sum of all opinions makes us better. But it would be impossible for all of our opinions to prevail 100% of the time. Don’t let it get you down. Get on board and stay on the same team.
ENJOY YOUR JOB OR MOVE ON
Fully engage in your success and the success of the company. If there’s a bad fit or bad timing, move on. Don’t be miserable and don’t make others around you miserable.
You are responsible for intentions and impact. Be present in whatever you are doing. If you are asked to be part of something you don’t need to be fully present during, set expectations.
MAXIMIZE EACH OTHERS’ STRENGTHS
We are stronger for our differences, not our similarities. Help each person maximize their strengths versus be beaten down by their weaknesses.
Let others know the true you – good and bad. Be real. Be vulnerable. Be humble.
SWING FOR THE FENCES
BE BETTER THAN AVERAGE ALL THE TIME
Build the best platform. Find a way. Be 300% better than our competitors. “No” is not the answer if success is the goal.
Take chances and make big things happen!! Change is scary, regret is even scarier.
THINK BIG, START SMALL, MOVE FAST
Does the big end goal seem crazy, unattainable even? Good! Move quickly – make progress. Dreaming big creates momentum and passion. Moving quickly keeps it alive.
You will never have all of the data. 20% of the data will get you 80% of the way there – then move. Don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis. Perfection is the enemy of progress.
COMMUNICATE WITH CLARITY
Err on the side of additional details versus assuming people know or remember. Be clear on expectations.
BE PROACTIVE (NOT PROVOCATIVE)
Proactive communication solves many problems; passive aggressiveness creates problems. Be assertive; be proactive.
ASK QUESTIONS. GET THE DETAILS
We are all strong enough to stand alone, be smart enough to know when you need help and brave enough to ask for it. Dig in, get details, find out intentions and big picture details.
Work together to create something great. Ask questions. Relate scenarios. Don’t try to solve in a silo. See outside your own area. Candidly engage the team to provide the best experience for all.
WORK WITH PASSION
ACT LIKE AN ADULT
Address all areas of your work with maturity. Whether it is vacation time, picking up behind yourself, or dealing with others. With adulthood comes freedom. Let’s maintain that freedom.
BE AWESOME NOT PERFECT
No one expects perfection, but we are a culture that won’t tolerate mediocrity. Be awesome.
BE RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE
You are responsible for you, no one else is. People are depending on you. Get it done. Take the initiative. Communicate status.
FOCUS ON TODAY, BUILD FOR TOMORROW
Deliver results today with an eye on the future. Keep up on industry knowledge and leading trends. Anticipate and remove risks and roadblocks without being afraid of taking calculated risks.
DELIVER QUALITY RESULTS RAPIDLY
Rapid and right? Yes. We can do it. Don’t lose the speed and innovation we were founded on. It is our culture. We knocked it out of the park. Now embrace the challenge – hold that constant and deliver quality, too.
BE RELENTLESS ABOUT IMPROVEMENT
Reinvent constantly. If you continue to do what you’ve done, you will get what you’ve gotten. Always work on streamlining necessary tasks and expand on ”wow” projects.
Accept reality (you can’t make it go away by closing your eyes). But then challenge and push for change. Don’t accept the status quo.
CREATE EXCELLENT EXPERIENCES
Advance freedom. Put the customer first. Fix problems, not symptoms. Don’t just do a job, create an excellent experience.
